Today’s historical photo is short and sweet. It comes to us from the pages of Hannon’s Field Guide For Bass Fishing, first published in 1980. It features the late Doug Hannon, alongside Rick Clunn. The book had a large portion dedicated to Doug’s ‘Pattern Section’ which was to be used as an on-the-water reference to help you select the best depth, structure and lures to use for most any condition. It was based on season, weather, time of day and water clarity – basically a small database on paper. Other sections focused on basic bass behavior, proper tackle, solunar and lunar influences, cold fronts and personal record keeping. It was written along with W. Horace Carter and encompasses just over 200 pages.
Hannon and Clunn

Where could a guy get a copy of Doug Hannon’s Field Guide For Bass Fishing?
Mike, those pop up every once in a while on eBay and you can also find them at Abe Books at times.
Awesome thank you!
