Editor’s Note: A couple weeks ago we started posting Brian’s Thursday and Friday Facebook Posts, which he’s been doing for a long while now, on the main site and sharing them to Facebook. This caused some confusion as folks clicked on the link and were brought to the site expecting a full article. We’re sorry for the confusion.
These posts are just a quick look at some historical images that relate to the history of the sport with short description. The reason for posting them to the site is to hopefully drive more traffic to the site as well as use the site as the hub for all of our pictures and other media.
Thursday Posts will be housed under the category Throwback Thursday and Friday Posts will be under Friday Finale. At the current time, we are posting six pieces a week and if all goes as planned, we’ll soon be adding a new video every week on Saturday. This schedule will bring four long version features a week plus two shorts and a video.
We’re sorry for not explaining this last week when we rolled out the new format.
Now on to Throwback Thursday.
“TOP ANGLER – Bass Anglers Sportsmen’s Society president Ray Scott, left, congratulates Tommy Martin of Hemphill on his Friday win of the Miller High Life Bass Masters Classic at Lake Wheeler near Rogersville, Ala. Martin, a part owner of Housen Bay Marina on Toledo Bend Lake and a full-time fishing guide, took the top prize of $15,000 plus $400 added money during the three-day contest for big bass.”
