Original Caption: Charlie Campbell, basketball coach at the Forsyth High School and a fishing guide in his spare time, shows the results of one evening's fishing out of the Highway K boat dock on upper Bull Shoals Lake. The seven largemouth bass pictured weighed a total of 35 pounds, with the biggest a 7-3/4 pounder. For a 3-evening period last week, Campbell had 11 largemouth from 5 to 8-1/2 pounds. Today’s historical photo is in remembrance of Charlie Campbell, the great Heddon Spook angler from Missouri. This is the oldest news photo I’ve been able to track down, dating back to 1963 while he was still a teacher and coach at the local high school, and guided in his spare time. It was featured in a short local fishing report titled, “How They’re Biting.”
